Dedicated to the development of a new digital media sector in the Baton Rouge area, the consortium aggressively seeks existing companies to build satellites, new offices or headquarters in the capital of Louisiana, and works with entrepreneurs to help create competitive start-ups in the animation, video games, and the visual effects industries.

Louisiana is one of only two states to offer Digital Media Tax Incentives. Our state is also the most aggressive. In addition, Louisiana has long-standing expertise in the entertainment industry, having been the number one state for film production outside of California and New York, thanks to the state’s pioneering efforts in motion picture incentives. The City of Baton Rouge has been aggressively pursuing

the entertainment industry, and is particularly interested in attracting and creating digital media companies. Baton Rouge is home to two of the state’s top universities, including the state flagship, Louisiana State University, as well as Southern University, one of the nation’s leading historically black colleges.
